The mirror shows you who's back there. The R1 tells you how close they are. It tracks up to 8 cars at once, up to 197 ft behind you, across a 170 degree field. Two LED modules mount in your line of sight, one on the left and one on the right. The side that lights up is the side they're on. The R1 and the Gentex each work completely on their own, so pick one or run both for full rear awareness.
