ABS M5 Kit Porsche Cup 991.1 and 991.2

Bosch Motorsport ABS built specifically for the 991 GT3 Cup, Gen 1 and Gen 2. A generation-specific harness, Porsche hydraulic unit holder, fittings, and fuses come in the box, and it works with the car's factory wheel speed sensors.

Overview

What Is It

The most complete Porsche Cup ABS package Bosch offers, matched to the 991 generation you race.

Bosch offers this kit in two versions: one for the 2015 model year 991 Cup (Gen 1, 991.1) and one for the 2017 model year car (Gen 2, 991.2). Each carries a wiring harness drawn for that generation, along with a Porsche-specific holder for the hydraulic unit, brake pipe fittings, fuses, and an LED-type ABS warning light. The 991 Cup already runs DF11i wheel speed sensors from the factory, so the kit connects to the sensors that are already on the car rather than shipping a new set.

Calibration happens in Bosch's free RaceABS software, where you enter the car's weight, track, wheelbase, wheel loads, rolling circumference, and sensor tooth count. On track, the driver picks from 11 preset Bosch maps on the 12-position switch, with one position set aside for ABS off. Racing an older Cup car? Choose Your Variant

Gen 1 or Gen 2: Which Kit Fits Your Car?

The two variants share the same ABS hardware. The wiring harness is what changes between generations.

Variant Model year Bosch order number Harness documentation

Key Features at a Glance

Generation-Specific Harness

Separate looms for the 991.1 and 991.2, each backed by Bosch harness drawings.

Works With Factory DF11i Sensors

The 991 Cup's original wheel speed sensors fit the system, so there's no sensor swap at the hubs.

More in the Box

A Porsche-specific hydraulic unit holder, brake pipe fittings, and fuses are included. Only the brake pipes need sourcing.

Twelve-Position Switch

Eleven preset Bosch intervention maps and an ABS-off setting, chosen by the driver mid-session.

Dedicated 991 Install Manual

Bosch publishes a 991 Cup installation manual that walks through the conversion step by step.

Track-Developed

Bosch proved out the Porsche Cup kit at Spa-Francorchamps and the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

FAQ

Common Questions

How do I know whether I need the Gen 1 or Gen 2 kit?

Gen 1 covers the 2015 model year 991.1 Cup, and Gen 2 covers the 2017 model year 991.2 Cup. The two use different wiring harnesses, so ordering the right one matters. If you're unsure, send us your chassis details and we'll confirm.

Why doesn't the 991 kit include wheel speed sensors?

The 991 Cup comes from the factory with DF11i sensors that work with the ABS M5, so Bosch built this kit around the sensors already on the car.

What's left to source after the kit arrives?

Just the brake pipes. Bosch includes the fittings, fuses, and a Porsche-specific holder for the hydraulic unit with the 991 kit. Our ABS M5 buyer's guide covers the Porsche Cup install parts list.

Is there a step-by-step install guide for the 991?

Yes. Bosch publishes a dedicated 991 Cup installation manual plus harness drawings for both generations, linked in the downloads section on this page.

Can I tune the ABS to my car's setup?

Yes. The free RaceABS software lets you enter the vehicle parameters that change with your setup, such as weight, wheel loads, and tire rolling circumference. Connecting a laptop to the ABS requires a Bosch MSA-Box II interface, sold separately.
