This accumulator stores air from the compressor to maintain constant supply during high-consumption shifting, exactly the moments when the compressor alone can't meet demand. What sets it apart is what's built into the billet aluminum end cap: a pressure sensor and a filter element, both integrated rather than added as separate inline parts. The pressure sensor connects to a GCU for accurate compressor control and system pressure monitoring, and the filter keeps dirt and debris out of the pneumatic system before it can damage a valve downstream.
Because everything is combined into one part, you get less packaging and less weight than a separate accumulator, sensor, and filter setup, which is exactly why it's a natural pairing with the Shiftec Gear Shift Servo.
